| Security
In order to provide the cover included in your HomeOffice policy, we require a basic level of security for your premises. In summary, here's what we expect:
- Main entrance door: 5-lever mortice deadlock to British Standard 3621, or rim deadlatch with key locking handle on inside.
- Other external doors including patio doors: as above, or with Key Operated bolts top and bottom in addition to existing locks.
- Sliding patio doors: as above, or with key operated patio door lock mounted internally on centre rail(s).
- Opening windows on ground floor or accessible (eg via a flat roof): key operated widow locks.
When such security does not exist, we may consider temporary cover subject to a £500 excess applying to all theft claims until such security has been installed.
